The flag of the United States of America is officially 239 years old — and it’s definitely changed over the years.

Flag Day, celebrated annually on June 14, celebrates the creation of the American flag in 1777. The flag has always displayed the colors red, white and blue, but its design has changed 26 times since it was first adopted.
